Big Bore RM250 low RPM Bog

Recommended Posts

I recently bought an 06 RM250 that is punched out to a 290. It also has higher compression so the guy I bought it from ran U2 race fuel. I first rode it with U2 and it ran excellent but I cannot afford to pay for race fuel so I converted it to E85 last weekend. When using E85 I know that you must increase the fuel by roughly 30% of the volume. I did this so now I am at a 190 main and a 55 pilot. It now FLIES maybe even a touch more than when using U2. My problem is that at very low RPM when I crank the throttle open fast it bogs. It does't just stuble it falls on its face very similar to a bike that isn't properly warmed up. Is this caused by me being too lean or too rich on the pilot? I am planning on spending more time playing with the jetting this weekend to get it dialed in.

Thanks. I Played with it a little yesterday and a richer pilot did the trick. Now I couldn't be happier with switching over to E85.
