good price for '07 525 exc?

Recommended Posts

I am going to potentially buy a very well maintained exc525 tomorrow with about 2900 miles - gravel and fire road miles, very little trail use. The bike comes with the books, larger tank, jd jet kit, skid plate, hand guards, larger rear sprocket.

Pics look very good, almost looks as good as the NY bike recently posted here.

What would a good going price be for this bike, it is dual sport ready now.

Does $5300 feel high?

Please provide some feedback, I'm getting heartburn.

I got an 06 525 and browse what they are worth from time to time. Mine has about the same milaege BUT mainly trails and definately more "banged" up looking even though its rock solid runner and I doubt I could get more than 3500/3800 ish for mine.

They are amaizing bikes and the older rfs motor is so desired I have heard people actualling buying bikes for just that motor and retro fitting them in new 530 chasis.

Just bought one, 1700mi/70hrs GPR Stabilizer, extra tank, revloc clutch FMF pipe and titled. $3800 After tearing it down probably should have been 3600 due to wear and tear and the current state of the economy.

I got lucky and bought a short mile one with a Rekluse Pro last fall for $3000.

Good lord - Did you kiss him and leave your number on the pillow after you were done with him? :p That is a killer deal! :smirk:

I paid a sneeze over 6k for this in February of this year. The bike was basically brand new. Just broken in. Still purrs like a kitten at idle and runs like a racehorse when you twist open the loud stick...
