If you had a month or two off?

Recommended Posts

If you had a month or two off, starting say in late April-early May, and you wanted to tow your bike past the plain states, park the truck/trailer, and bike tour/camp around the southwest/west. Where would you start? Which way would you go?

Given that time of year, I'd start in Arizona as it will be warmer but not yet hot. Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff area is nice. From there you can wander up into Utah and head toward Moab, Green River, and maybe even up toward SLC/Park City. Then into western Colorado.....endless possibilities, Grand Junction, Steamboat Springs, Montrose, Durango, Lake City, Telluride, Aspen, Crested Butte (Taylor Park area) and on and on.

PM Sundog, he's been all over and will have some suggestions!

Colorado, Arizona, Utah.......looking for a place to leave the truck?

Yes I am. Along with a folding H.F. trailer. I hoping to "boondock camp" also.

Start in AR. go west on the T.A.T... See what you want out west and ride back.

EDIT...

Look over at ADVrider.com at the ride reports section for some mind blowing ideas..

I would just ride it and stay off the interstates. Go to ADVrider.com and look at some of their rides on the TAT. Have fun and be safe
