Bleeder screw

Recommended Posts

Where is the bleeder screw on wr250x. I am doing my first oil change and seem to cant find it. Why do i have to unscrew it after every oil change. Is it necessary?

It's on the top of the block, facing the rear of the bike. kinda hard to get to. Don't remove it all the way , too hard to get back on, plus oil goes every where. Use a 10mm wrench, back it out a few turns after changing oil and filter, start the engine....when oil starts to ooze out, shut it down and tighten.

+1 I don't use that screw. Oil changes have been fine without the hassle of farting around with it.

That's usually what it takes. One lesson in frustration = screw it the next time. You won't hurt anything not using that damned thing.
