JD Jetting on 250xcf-w

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me what setting they are running.

I just picked this bike up and making sure it's running the best it can. They had the red needle in, in the 3rd clip position. I'm running at 350ft, weather is, well spring weather..anywhere from 40 to 65°

I seem to have to choke it to get it to start. Does this mean I'm too lean at the idle position?

JD kit, blue needle #4. Fuel mixture at 1.5 turns out. 250-1500ft elevation at 40-65 degrees. Bike runs great. Use the choke to start when cold.

Other details as requested by ChasM in post below:

185 main jet

42 PJ

#60 leak jet (actually using the R&D powerbowl with adjustable leak jet, but this is the approximate equivalent)

Stiff spring on AP

Main jet and pilot jet sizes would also be helpful. O-ring on AP mechanism?
