Something missing?

Recommended Posts

Just bought my son a YZ250F and was looking over the forks and noticed that at the bottom where the compression clickers are there are no little rubber covers over the clickers. Did they quit doing that or what? My WR came with them.

They dont do that any more. I have an 08 and never had them.

Thats what I thought but I didnt want to argue with intensem1rider. He's usually spot on with this stuff. No ones perfect though.

I don't recall having them on any of my yamahas since '01, and they were all bought new.

If i remember correctly, the last yzf fork i have worked on with the black rubber caps was a 04 with the single chamber KYB 48mm forks. In 2005, they switched to the dual chamber 48's, and the bottom of the fork was a "17 mm nut". The 2004 has a ~10 mm allen/hex key slot instead of the 17mm nut like the 05 and newer.

Atleast this is how i remember it all.
