Idle jet

Recommended Posts

So I took my bike in to get the carb cleaned and correct the jetting. Before I took it in the bike, I thought, idled a little high. The guy changed the main from 190 to 188 and idle from 48 to 45. When I got the bike back it won't start without the choke on and it won't idle with out me giving it some throttle. After the bike has been ridden for awhile it will start without the choke on, but will die within 30 seconds or so if i'm not giving it some throttle.

So should I just change the idle jet back to 48, will that fix the problem. My manual recommends 185 and 45.
