GYTR kit jetting

Recommended Posts

I bought my WR250 new last spring and installed a GYTR kit on it right away. I am making a trip to Moab Ut in a couple weeks and am wondering if the jetting will be ok or if I should get a JD jetting kit. The temps will be 50-70 degrees and I think the altitude is about 5-6000 feet.

You may need to lean out the jetting to ride at a much higher altitude. I doubt you need another jetting kit. If it were me, I would drop the needle by raising the clip a position or two and install a smaller main jet. I would take a few extra jet sizes with me. Plan on a test and tuning ride when you arrive.

I ordered a JD jetting kit yesterday. I was figuring I would need to lean it out a bit but was thinking the cooler temps might even it out a bit. I was also thinking the stock jetting is very lean for here and might work well also.
