pro circuit triple clamps and fork rebuild

Hello, We have a 03 kx 125. I was given a set of pro circuit triple clamps from a sx team last week and I was also rebuilding my sons forks with new seals and bushings. Fork rebuild went great and new clamps went on great along with new fat bars. My question is, he rode yesterday and forks were a lil stiff for him, will they break-in a lil and get better? I also put the forks back at the same hight on the new clamps, was that right? He rode fine all looked good, he is just trying to get used to the new setup. Is there anything else that I should have did or need to check? thanks
