85 2 stroke: Lighter, faster, cheaper, inexpensive to modify.

150R: Heavier, expensive, not as fast, more expensive to modify.

About sums it up, I bought the 150R for my Wife back in September of 2007 and sold it very recently to buy her a brand new KX100. FWIW I have seen tons of 150Rs up for sale recently because of a lack of class to race them in, and the cost to maintain and modify them.

I thought the crf150r ran the supermini class, they seem popular here still

^ what Subtexel said. there's no real advantage of a racing 4t except pissing off neighbors farther away and better low end. If you are wondering what bike to get, buy an 85. You wont be disappointed

The 150R gets spanked in the supermini class.

They just can't compete with 112cc of 2-stroke power.
