414 Posted March 18, 2010 You should check the valves and decompressor, if you haven't already done that.
jadair18 Posted March 18, 2010 hey.. we chcked the the valves.. once we starting taking it apart. but my mechanic forgot to check the depcompresor while we took it apart. and now we gotta rebuild it before we can check the decompressor..
cubera My Ride Posted March 18, 2010 Does it start with the button and it's only the kickstarter feeling bound up?

kanyonkritter Posted March 18, 2010 (edited) Sounds like a decompressor issue to me. My bike did the same thing and thats want it was. +1 and since the decompressor wasn't checked it becomes the prime suspect until its ruled out. jadair18 Posted March 18, 2010 can u check the decompressor once the engine is missing the top end..? Also the bike wouldnt start previous with the electric start and kicking..

Yes, bolt the cam carrier back on, align the timing marks and check the clearance per the manual. Don't need to have the head on the motor.
