ringet Posted March 20, 2010 i had this dynoed last spring and these are the results. what would be the best a/f ratio to run to be properly tuned. i know 14.7:1 is stoich but in my experiences with tuning my turboed car i was aiming for a way richer 12:1 to have the motor run safely. and a friend has a N/A car and his was around 13.2:1 running safely. when i was at steelcity nationals i was talking to a mechanic from the factory YAMAHA Team and he said their bikes are rich on the bottom to get the motors out of the hole. does anyone have an idea of what a properly jetted engine runs for a/f ratios? my bike made 45.27wheel hp and 30.53ft/lbs torque. this dyno reads a little low. (my bros 07 yzf500 bigbore stroker hotcams and exhaust made around 45.69wheel hp and 32f/lbs) http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx97/ringet421/IMG.jpg (idle) http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx97/ringet421/IMG_0009.jpg (1/8 throttle) http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx97/ringet421/IMG_0004-1.jpg (1/4) http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx97/ringet421/IMG_0005.jpg (1/2) http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx97/ringet421/IMG_0006.jpg (3/4) http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx97/ringet421/IMG_0007.jpg (W/O) http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx97/ringet421/IMG_0008.jpg (hp/t)
