Do i need a Bigger stator to run blinkers and a break light?

Recommended Posts

Ive been wanting to supermoto my bike but am unsure if i need a bigger stator. i dont think that i would, since it has an already larger stator than the R and runs a head like and tail light. but a second opinion and possible technical info would be much appriciated. thank you

The stock stator puts out about 65 watts , if that helps , it should run the brake light , not sure about signals too as they require a relay , and i dont know how many watts it draws with everything on at once !

but i would say you should be ok , the only issues is the headlight might flare bright and dim when you hit the brake at low RPM

Otherwise your only other alternitive is to buy one of the aftermarket dual sport kits , they run around $400

thanks for the info. why would i need a rectifier? or even a relay for that matter?

You don't, I was thinking R.

You need blinker lights, blinker flasher, banjo break switch, bar cluster switches, wiring harness, tailight.

The best quality I've used is Baja Designs or Trick. Better quality parts.

For cheaper parts: http://www.procycle.us/dskits/dskit.htm
