2004 KX 65 Issues with carb

Recommended Posts

Has not been ridden in 2.5 years...hard to start...sprayed starting fluid on clean foam air cleaner and it started right up. Had serious bogging while warming up. Had to keep blipping throttle. Finally warmed up and ran great...idled good...hit the note (power band) good. Then I noticed excessive gas spewing out of carb hose on bottom of bike. Ran bike until old gas ran out. With bike cooled down I repeated same process with new gas. Same issues. Would not start without starting fluid and gas was all over driveway. Any ideas?

clean the carb, replace the jets that are in it and get a couple bigger, smaller main and pilot jets if your planning to get the jetting in the ballpark, adjust the float hight. Thats whats causig all the probs, the float height can cause jetting issues if its off, and dirty clogged jets contributes. mix 32:1 .
