250 SXF Jetting

Recommended Posts

All stock, 2006 250 SXF, sea level, 80 degrees avg. temp. I just went through servicing this bike for a friend. All jets and settings are stock as the manual specifies for a baseline. However, bike starts and idles but will die upon opening the throttle. Any opinions to where I should go with the jetting on this? Thanks.

Definitely use the blue needle. The red one is leaner. The diam. may be the same (on the straight part) as OEM but it definitely isn´t that in the tapered part.

You need to play around with needle pos. to make it run really well. Especially if you have a modified mill...
