Wrfrk Posted March 22, 2010 Wondering if you can re-use old head o-rings if you just pull the head to check the cylinder and the rings still look good?
cohl Posted March 23, 2010 Yep. If there are no signs of nicks or cracks, your good. I make sure they are seated in the cylinder groove before I re-install the head. I do keep a spare set of o-ringds on hand if one gets damaged.
Gary jp4 Posted March 23, 2010 Check to see if they are round still. If they have been in there for awhile they may have taken a set and are now square or egg shaped. In that case they are getting hard and I would replace them. I lubricate them with a seal grease or at least some kind of grease. Gary
