250x vs 250r

thinking of getting a 250x and was wondering what some of the diffferences bw tne them besides th lights .

250r will give you the race ready machine. it has a close ratio transmission as well as no kick-stand. but you can buy a bolt-on one if you choose to. better suited for track riding. the 250x has the light and a wide-ratio transmission and is much better suited for trails but still can go on a track if you wish to. it all depends on your riding style and what you like to do

is there anything thats diff in the engine and would a pipe from a 250r work on it thanks

pipe from a 2005 or 2004 250 R bolt on...You cant bolt on the dual pipes with out alot of fabrication...It has been done though.

They have a different cam. I have seen people talk about putting the R cam in their X.
