Difference in spring rates between titanium and steel?

I need a new shock spring for my 2006 YZ 250 2 stroke but I have heard there is a difference in spring rates between the stock titanium spring and the aftermarket steel spring...If that's true what spring rate would I need?

Spring lenght can differ (260, 265, 275). Pick up the right spring rate for your weight. Doesn't matter is it Ti or steel rates are same. When use Ti springs you have to use spring seats.

the Ti are not very consistant through out the usable range, ie start at 5.0 middle of stroke maybe 5.3 end of stroke might be 5.1
