Accurate speedo

Recommended Posts

I don't think any speedo is correct anymore. The manufacturers are not allowed sell a bike with speedo's that read low, so they make them about 5% high. That includes Harleys now too. It also makes the warrantee run out faster. My last 6 bikes from different manufacturers were all off.

So I guess that the best solution would be to mount a GPS unit on the handlebar and use that to track speed?

Does anyone have one that they like and is easy to read? What about wiring it to the ignition so that it turns on when the bike is running? Maybe wire it to the headlamp?
