Kfxrider90 Posted March 25, 2010 Just bought an 02 cr250 bored out to a 280 with a fatty pipe and another fmf exhaust on it, im not sure about the jetting as he got the back for a trade from a guy who owed him money. The seller hadn't even started it in over a year. It started on the 3rd kick, but he doesnt remember what fuel/oil ratio he used. Help please? 👍
KcDavis My Ride Posted March 25, 2010 32:1 is always a safe place to get started. That is usually what the manual calls for. But everyone will have a different idea of what is necessary and what is over kill. Really, just pick a ratio and jet accordingly, because that will be the real deciding factor. pieplatesnductape Posted March 25, 2010 The factory owners maintenance manual specs 20:1 using Honda oil or equiv. The Honda service manual specs 32:1. Most synth's are between 32:1 and 40:1, pick your fav oil and jet to the oil mfg's spec
HrcRacing Posted March 25, 2010 32:1 is fine for a 250 and it's also fine for a 500, it will be fine for your 280. 👍
