Mid-float on Kyb Forks!

Recommended Posts

i am a little confused about the float on the 48mm kyb forks

on the 09 crf i have measured 0,35mm

the 07 yzf 450 has the same mid valving and 0,2 float?

20,11 3x

18,11

16,11

14,11

11,30 2x

17,30 2x

i think the sleeves are the same (5,25mm!) on all Kyb Forks

different mid-valve -pistons?

5.3mm slide collar is typical in TC KYB forks. Some models use 8-0.15 shims under the collar which increase the float. CRF -09 and YZ -07 don't have those shims std and both models have 5.3 collar, both have same valve stopper also. Pistons have same part numbers. So what we have left?

Did you measure it out the same way?
