Weather = Jetting???

Recommended Posts

Would a temperature change from 55 with low humidity to 75 with moderate humidity require a main jet change?

Should not be enough of a change in the density/O2 content to require a jet change.

if the main jet were dead on perfect at 55 and low humdity it will definately be rich at 75 and high humidty

it should still run ok.

if the main jet were rich already it most definately be soggy.

Not to thread jack but similarly, I live in Florida and when I installed my jet kit (+full exhaust) the weather was cool, mid fifties, now its warming up and within a month it will be in the mid 80s and by summer should be in the 90s with tons of humidity.

Heres the set up I have from the winter @ 55-60 low humid.

jd kit,

blue needle

4th clip

stock pilot

2.75 turns out

160 main

its been in the mid 70s lately with a little bit more humidity, but its still running great. Will I have to drop down a size this summer?
