RiverRunner Posted March 26, 2010 Hi Group! I've got a xr650L right now and would like to try out a 650R, but I've got the plating issue in Oregon. I really like having a street legal bike. I've been told by DMV that if the bike, a XR650R in this case, is plated in another state, Oregon will honor that registration and give you Oregon plates when you bring it in. Has anyone gone through this process and has anyone heard of the DMV going back and demanding the plates back after the fact? Appreciate the help. Looking forward to seeing what the R is like after the L. RiverRunner

ThumpNRed Posted March 26, 2010 Boise Craigslist has a 650R listed with tags on it: http://boise.craigslist.org/mcy/1659677077.html Not sure where in Oregon you are. Looks like a decent bike.
