oachs83 Posted March 26, 2010 I need a cylinder for my 2001 YZ 125. I have came across a couple but different years. Will a 2000 or 2002 cylinder work? I try to compare the OEM part #'s the first 3 digits are different but the rest is the same but the prices are all different also. qwert321 Posted March 27, 2010 If you want to use a 2000 cylinder on a 2001 you will also need the head also.I sold a 2000 cylinder to a buddy once that had a 2001 and the head stay that bolts to the bracket that bolts to the frame was in the wrong spot they changed the layout of the cylinder head studs.
