busted bones Posted March 27, 2010 I am feeling confident enough to try the timing adjustments on my own. All I need is pictures though because when Im looking at the flywheel Im not seeing any timing marks. I might be looking right at it and not even know it though. So does anyone have any pictures of it and how Im trying to line everything up? I have all the tools required for it.
dustin63933 Posted March 27, 2010 May I ask what timing you'd have to do on a 2 stroke?
busted bones Posted March 27, 2010 May I ask what timing you'd have to do on a 2 stroke? The timing for when the spark ignites fuel. If its to early you get pre detonation like I was getting recently, and if you retard it a bit like I want to it can extend over rev lessen the mid range hit and make power a little more tractable
dave298 Posted March 27, 2010 I just did my timing last night, but I can't get a good picture, camera sux! My bike as a line with a arrow though it on the actual flywheel, and the stator has a thin line casted in. It's roughly around the 7 o'clock range... That's how mine looks anyways
