Anybody play with the new FI tuner from Yamaha? I have and I haven't found a setting that is much different from stock, although the 2nd map from Yamaha's website made the bike hesitate slightly upon takeoff of a jump. Not a bog, but just a little stumble going from mid to top end. Anyhow, I haven't found the settings make much difference so far. I was riding in deep loam, so I was looking for a little harder hit, but of the 4 maps I tried, they all seem to work worse than the stock map. The stock map got up and went the best. Some of the other maps didn't want to pull 3rd as well, although I DID NOT do any lap times to verify this. Just seat of the pants. I am looking for a little harder pull through the mid and top. I like the barky bottom, except going through the pits. Guys who have this bike know what I mean! This is just FYI and my impression: I have found that this bike needs a holeshot device, as it wheelies easily off the line. I had one on my 09, never used it, so I took one off a CRF 450 that I have and used it on the 2010. I think the new bike wheelies easier than the 09, probably because of the weight bias. Tried 8 starts, and the holeshot device is noticeable. With the crf450 device, I found I could clamp the ring around the fork tube and adjust the height to where I wanted it. I liked that idea. After the starts, I noticed the times I didn't use the device, I wheelied. Times I used it, I was on the gas much harder in the first 15 foot. No appreciable wheelie. Doing all things the same.
