tacotory Posted March 28, 2010 I've got an '05 crf50 with a badly clogged pilot jet. Initially I thought it wasn't removable, but then I managed to get it out. I've been soaking it in cleaner, blowing compressed air through it and using a cutting torch tip cleaner on it for 2 days now and still haven't gotten it opened up. I'm beginning to wonder if I am ever going to get it to clear. If I can't get it cleared, is this a part you can order through Honda? If so, do you guys know what size the stocker is so I can order the correct size? Thanks for the help!
dirtbkr188 Posted March 28, 2010 It wasn't meant to be removable, it isn't assigned a part number on any microfiche, therefore it isn't replacable. Next best thing is to get another carb and go from there.
tacotory Posted March 28, 2010 Hmm... I was afraid of that. Is the stock pilot a 35? What is the exact diameter of the orifice for a 35 (or whatever if I'm wrong on the 35)? I think i'll try to find a drill bit that is the correct size and see if I can work the blockage out with that.
