Vintage Race in Boise

Recommended Posts

I shot about 1,000 images at this weekend's vintage race in Boise. Don't know if you're interested, but thought I'd post a few links.

Here's one of the photos, straight from the camera, no editing, etc. The images on my account have also not been edited, I post process prior to printing for sale.

Hope i didn't just hi-jack the thread....oops

Do you run all your photos through a preset in LR prior to uploading? I just recently installed LR and have no problem post production on one photo, doing 1,000 seems daunting. Suggestions with that and uploading quickly from LR to Smugmug. I export to .jpg at 50% and it takes forever to upload to SM.

Those photos are from Shaver Graphics (not me).I do some photography but my bike habbits keep me from getting the "good"cameras.Iv'e known him from the group Mt. bike rides that i used to do.

You might drop Doug a mesage and ask him.

In your pictures...Was that one guy next to the Bultaco Chuck Sun?It sure looks like him..

Yes that was Chuck Sun. What a super nice guy. Watching him ride is great. He has perfect form after all these years. Here is a race photo of him.

great looking stuff. I did not realize how many bikes did not have front disc brakes back in the 70's. even the YZ monoshock bike had front drums. it must have taken half the track to stop those bikes.

It was amazing how fast those bikes were going, was also surprised how many were huckin the jumps on the summer track on Sunday. Take a peek at the two links in the initial post and you can see the air they were taking. Some of bike that raced on Sunday were EVO bikes, but not all.
