yz125 - fmf shorty with fatty

whats your opinion on the fmf shorty silencer with the fmf fatty pipe combination on a 04 yz125?

thinking about getting them but want to know what you think first

I got 'em on my '03 YZ 125. Loud, adds low end power and looks good.

I say go for it.

always rejet when you at a pipe and silencer dont want to risk it running lean and going boom

I love the feel of the fatty and shorty on my YZ. Added bottom and added a little over rev. great combo for mx. Although in the wet/loose stuff the stock pipe seems to be a little better fit. No jetting change needed when I installed mine, still spot on! If you currently run the stock jetting odds are your a little rich on the bottom anyways (come rich from the factory) so the pipe/ silencer shouldnt require a jetting change for you.

rich? my 06 was lean as hell same with my buddys 05 off the showroom who knows maybe its the new ones

Nah its not just the new ones my 03 and 08 came a tad rich on the pilot... but I guess it all depends on your elevation, temp, etc...

I have a 09 yz 125, added a Factory Fatty and Ti 2 shorty, works great. This is the most noticible improvement I have done without going into the engine.
