Put on new plastics?

Recommended Posts

I'm getting ready to sell my trusty 2001 DRZ400E (plated!) and wanted opinions here - would you put new plastics/graphics on the bike to sell it? I'm thinking I'd spend on the order of $200 by the time I got a matching DOT legal headlight - would it pull $500 more for the bike? The bike is solid, but it's seen its fair share of dirt on the shiny parts... 👍

Or, should I just clean it up and sell it "as is"?

Thanks, Pauly

I see you're in CA - do you think a solid (albeit scuffed) plated 2001 E model would pull $2500 in CA?

I'd be suspicious of a 2001 that looked like brand new.

It may. You'll need to be patient, though.

The ding in the front rim doesn't look like you are trying to cover something.

just took of my yellow plastics from a 2007 to change to all black, if your interested let me know the bike only had 150 miles on it.

It's roughly $160 if you go with aftermarket plastics and a oem headlight shroud from bikebandits, just going to paint the tank.

Thanks for the offer - I'll PM you if I decide to do that...
