pw50 problem

Recommended Posts

Hi, i have a problem with my little yamaha pw50. The thing starts, but when i put the switch into run it will either jus cut out the engine, or it will rev up sometime, but as soon as you put a bit of weight on it and pull back the throttle, it will just bog out, and sometimes cut out the engine. čĹŹ

I would appreciate any help, or any suggestions on how to fix my problem. :

Could be a problem with the switch itself, or the white four wire connector behind the front number plate. Niether of them like to get wet; disconnect the four wire connector and try it before ripping into anything else. It will start and run in the "run" position with this connector unplugged. If it runs normally the switch or connector are wet or the switch may be bad.
