2007 CRF250R - 50 hours on the engine from new

all 4 valve guides are out of spec

Has anyone used the Beryllium Copper alloy Seats??

There is a guy on Ebay offering these seats in a top end rebuild.

He uses the OEM Titanium intake valves, Black Nitride one piece forged Kibblewhite or Faction MX exhaust valves for less guide wear and better corrosion resistance, new OEM springs and Viton guide seals.

What kind of hours is everyone getting on their 250R's before they have valve issues??

This bike has 50 hours on it, we had to do the valves at 40 hours, they were pounded out, my bad for not checking them... I know that.

I can't decide if I want to get the top end "fixed up" or just bite the bullet and get a new head and new valves.

Thanks for the input.

Dave

Get it fixxed, on eBay there is a store called racers ER, I'm guessing this is where u found the copper seats. For the price of a new stock head and valve train, racers er will take your worn head resurface the exhaust valve seats, machine new bronze valve guides in place of the worn out old ones. Copper seats on the intake Valves and new valves and springs. They would turn your old worn out head into a far better peice then a new stock one could be.
