1994 Honda CR 125 Rear Spring Change?

Recommended Posts

Hello, my Fiance has just learned to ride on a 1994 honda cr 125, when we bought the bike the two lock rings on the rear shock were maxed out or tightened to the max (down) to elevate the bike, this makes the bike the right height but when she sits on the bike it is very bouncy and sags very low.

I have fixed my transmission on my Yamaha last winter so this must be an easy job compared to that, but I was wondering if we could purchase a spring from a cr 250 and if so which year. Also wondering if we need the whole shock and spring or just the spring.

Again we are looking to have the spring take a little more weight than it currently can. We mainly do trail riding.

She is about 175 with her gear on and she is 6'1".

Thanks in advance, Any recomendations would be appreciated.
