yz85 top end

02 purchased used...was serviced reguarly (i have some recipts none for top end though)

starts pretty good has great power but i was wondering if i should rebuild top end for insurance and if i do should i replace piston or just gaskets?

I would just replace it to be safe. A blown up motor costs a lot more to rebuild than just a top end.

the 100 bucks spent on a piston and ring kit is better then taking the risk and having the chance to wreck the cylinder and head just rebuild it

Replace the top end now and put a hour meter on it. Replace every 20 hrs and you are good to go !!!
