wr250fripper Posted March 31, 2010 What are all the tools to do the job? It seems like i can buy all the parts and tools to do it myself for as much as it would cost to have someone else do it. I just need to make sure i buy all the right tools. Thanks!
ulmanb Posted March 31, 2010 (edited) I just did my 2005 cr250r. Forks: You will need a fork cap wrench ($20 +/-)& seal driver ($40 +/-) for the forks. And plastic sandwich bags for fork seal installation Shock: You will need a shock seal bullit ($15+/-). I bought the motopower videos (http://motopowervideo.com/), but there are also a lot of decent free videos on rockymountainatv.com and youtube. Also, my service manual does a good job of explaining the procedures. Next time I will try the service manual method for the shock as it looks less messy and less wasteful of the oil. I just take the shock to the local bike dealership and they charge a nominal fee (if at all) to charge the shock with nitrogen.
