2005 CRF450X Bogging/Hesitating when throttle is steady

2005 CRF450X Bogging/Hesitating when throttle is steady.

When you ride it in any gear and hold the throttle steady, it will start to cut out and bog, hesitate and then resume normal rpms. Then it will start doing it again. Almost like it loses spark or a flow of fuel for just a second and then comes back to normal. Kind of like a popping in the exhaust.

Here's the breakdown of the bike...

2005 Honda CRF450X

Stock exhaust and head pipe

Kibble white stainless valves and springs (brand new and in adjustment)

Vertex Forged Piston (brand new)

Jd jetting kit with 170 main, red needle

air box mod and new uni filter

it is street legal and gets ridden for extended periods of time

it has the CA emissions block off kit

icat spark plug enhancer

running 91 octane

carb has been completely cleaned and runs normal

I can't think of anything else that would be causing this? If needed I can post a video of me riding it with the sound. Thanks!

Loose the icat, it is snake oil and a rip off, sorry.

Has the bike always done this or is it a sudden new occurence?

Will it always mis-fire at steady throttle - is it constant or does it only happen from time to time on steady throttle?

Funny, we took the icat off last night and bingo! runs just fine with the stock wiring..imagine that. the bike didn't do it before the rebuild and with the icat. just for some reason it did afterwards.

It is constant on steady throttle. That thing was messing with the spark or spark timing.
