klmt Posted April 1, 2010 Ok so i have a 2001 xr200 that is not running but was recently and im thinking the head might have been starved of oil and that is why it died, but i have an offer for a trade of my bike and $200 for this 1989 xr250. Is it worth it with this year if the bike is in as good of condition as it seems in the pictures? http://newhaven.craigslist.org/mcy/1642052742.html http://newhaven.craigslist.org/mcy/1637123036.html It is hte same bike in both adds. RedRider3141 Posted April 2, 2010 If your budget is tight, I think the '89 XR250 is better than the newer XR200. Does the prospective trader know about the oil issue?
klmt Posted April 2, 2010 Im pretty sure its not a scam. It is a girl and her boyfriend that are buying it because the xr250 is too big for her she said. and ya, my budget is pretty tight considering im a 16 year old kid without a job haha. And, ya the owner knows that it doesnt work. they know as much as i do. Im not 100%sure whats wrong with it cause i havent had time to really take a good look. I mean for all i know, it could be that a piece of dirt clogged the carb from the lack of an inline fuel filter on my bike.
