VintageTrail Posted April 2, 2010 Installed a Vapor Trailtech the day before, everthing seems to work fine, but when I set the "Pulse per Revolution" to .5, the tach seems WAY off, which should be correct for a single cylinder. WHen I set to 1 ppr, that seems normal. I was careful to route the sense line away from anything it might pick up inductance from. So this leads me to believe it uses a wasted spark ignition system? Is this so or do I have issues eleswhere? Just for grins, can anybody guess what bar I took this picture in?
RedRider3141 Posted April 3, 2010 The ppr should be 1. That's what worked for me on my FT500 (XL500) single cylinder.
VintageTrail Posted April 5, 2010 The ppr should be 1. That's what worked for me on my FT500 (XL500) single cylinder. Thanks! After thinking about it I came to the conclusion that since its not a points bike it probabky has 1 pulse per revolution. Cheers!
