natedogsmith Posted April 2, 2010 Hello, I went to replace the jet needle in my son's 2007 KX65. The part number that came out of it was 5GSP68 and when I ordered a stock replacement for it, they gave me a 5HS64. These needles are no where near alike. The 5GSP68 is almost half the diameter of the stock one. Dealer said it looks like it came out of a 2002, how could this be? Any help on this one is greatly appreciated. My boy wants to ride!!! JJRace Posted April 2, 2010 Talk to your dealer They ordered you the optional needle. 16187-1226 NEEDLE-JET,5GSP68 That is the stocker.
motodogg01 Posted April 3, 2010 Not uncommon to get the wrong part from your dealer especially when you're talking about a needle jet. I went to get a different needle for my 07 CRF250R and found out there were 72 other optional needles jets. UUhhhh.... JJRace very well may be right. I haven't looked it up. Take the number he gave you and the needle in your hand and try again
natedogsmith Posted April 3, 2010 16187-1226 NEEDLE-JET,5GSP68 That is the stocker. Hey JJRace, you'd the man. But, that needle is on back order. Is the K1601-71413 the stock needle for an RM65? Dealer is not much help. Thanks! Jeff
