GREAT DANE Posted April 3, 2010 Sounds like a big boy already and at just 12 yrs old, sounds like he might get alot taller so yeah look into a bigger bike/size. Great bike but when your too big its not so much fun as I am finding out now.
calif-yz400f Posted April 3, 2010 I bought a used 2008 CRF150R small wheel for my 12yr old. At the same time I bought a new Big Wheel set and swingarm. After 3 rides we swapped out the small wheels for the big wheels. If I had to do it over I should have just bought the large wheel version and lowered the forks/rear shock or shaved the seat if it was too tall. The big wheel version is only about an 1.5" taller at the center of the seat. Go big wheel . . . good luck
