03 cr 125 trouble

Sounds like it's too rich and filing your plugs. Try turning your air mixture screw (not the one with the lock nut, but a flat head screw by the airboot to the right of the choke knob) in until it seats, then back it out to about 1 1/2 turns. Back it out 1/2 a turn until it gets better or you get to 3 turns out, then try a smaller pilot jet. When you put the smaller pilot in start at 1 1/2 turns out from seated again.

huh? it should be harder to start it by hand..... well def get a compression gauge and test it.... things like this seem really hard to figure out the cause but most likely your top end needs to be rebuilt and carb needs to be tuned/cleaned....

If you're leaking a lot of fuel out of the carb overflow house, it's likely that your float level is off. If you have the Mikuni 38mm stock carb the correct float height is either 7 or 7.5 mm. Once you're sure you've got the float height correct, you can check your air screw, and from there adjust pilot or main jets as necessary to getting the jetting right. But if you've got major fuel coming out, you must start with your float height.

You may have said this already, but did you verify it wasn't the kill switch? Mine did the same thing this weekend and an exposed portion of the wire was hitting metal and bogging. I unplugged the kill switch to test and BINGO, back in business. Just a thought...
