Help DT200R seized!

Recommended Posts

I had a looong trouble with my DT200R 1993. It was pretty OK until I left it at a workshop for a typical piston change as it was keeping the revs high for a while after closing the throtle. (I wish you understand my english!)

After that service, it seized before I do 100 km! Took it back there and I only paid for a new piston. Seized again at 60 km distance! I phoned him and told him he would never see me again. Now I try to do it myself, so HELP!!!

I MUST find out WHY it seized so it won;t happen again. Please give me an opinion.

I am also looking for a new / used barrel. Do you know where to look ? Thanks

the seize happened at the input side of the barrel.

That looks like a cold seizure to me. How do you warm the bike up?

Otherwise, is the bike oil injected? Because you might have an issue with your oil injection.

Warming: I leave it a minute idle and then ride the first kilometer slow and smooth.
