Bad tire lube?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, besides repacking my suspension bearings, I "tossed" a new D606 on the rear rim. Well in the heat of the battle I reached for a bottle of citrus type cleaner to lube the tire to get it on. I am now wondering if it will be too slippery or get slippery when wet and cause the tire to rotate on the rim. What do you think?

I use water and a bit of laundry detergent (super slick) I have never had a problem in several years of doing so.

I use GO JO cream hand cleaner on the beads, doesn't make a mess, beads slip on easily, seat quickly when the tube is aired up.

Once it dries out, it becomes "one" with the rim. The tire shouldn't budge unless you lose air pressure.
