clutch lever fade

Recommended Posts

Iv just got my 03 te450 on the road i took it out for a spine last night and all was well for twenty minutes or so then after a long strech with no gear change i went for the lever and there was nothing it felt loose and dead so a little pumping and it had resistance again. Iv had the same thing happen on a van but im a little out of water on a bike any ideas.

It is probably a leaky o-ring on slave cylinder. I had to upgrade to an x-ring from uptite and a zip-ty slave cylinder to make my clutch reliable. Also be sure to fill the slave cylinder before you install piston, it will help you bleed system faster. PS: DON'T PUMP LEVER WHEN SLAVE IS OFF CASE.YOU COULD RUIN SLAVE CYLINDER ASSEMBALY. YES I found out the hard way.
