Slip on VS a full system

Well, guess it depends on who you ask. I know someone who's got the full FMF system (Q4 & PB header)and he feels there isn't much of a difference. That's why I never bothered spending the extra $200 on the header. I've also heard from others that they feel they've lost a bit of mid range with a header. I really don't think you're going to gain any significant hp from a header vs just a pipe. Your hp gains will be from a mix of exhaust system, airbox mods and fuel programming, not just the exhaust alone.

In that case I'd say slip on pipe and power commander will give you a couple ponies.

Haven't played with the different PCIII settings on mine yet. Just using what they reccomended for K&N filter and slip on.

I will soon. Looking forward to NOT ripping the carb out and rejetting over and over just to try it out.

I asked because my DRZ responed better to a header and pipe than slip on alone. I was able to go with a slightly larger main jet and get less lag between 1/2 and WOT.
