iamahooligan Posted April 5, 2010 I just bought a 2007 xr 650 L. what carb do i have? what jet kit do I need? Is this stock carb worth rejetting or should i buy an fcr-mx or similar carb? I have taken the smog pump off, opened up air box, and plan on getting an exaughst. I am realy disapointed with the power of this bike. my 1989 xr 600 will run circles around it. does any one make a bore and cam kit for the 650L?I have seen a 680 kit mentioned for the 650R will it work in the L? if so, would the stock carb work? Flatroads Posted April 9, 2010 I just picked up a new 2008. Look over on the XR650L section of this site. A wealth of info there regarding re-jetting. You'll see there are 2 solutions that dominate the discussion: "Dave's Mods" and the Dynojet kit. Dave's mods seem more popular.
