Powerband adjustment SX 85

My boy is ridding a 08 sx 85 and I am wanting to "adjust the power band" to were the bike hits a bit lower in the RMP range. Currently is hits at 85% max RPM and I would like to drop that to say 70%. By the way when this bike hits the power band it realllllly hits, make me wist I was riding a 300 xc-w. Any tips on adjusting the power characteristics would be much appreciated.

Go down a tooth on the rear or put a FWW on, thats the cheapest way, or you can get the cylinder ported. riding track or?

Try a torque spacer. It fits between the intake reeds and the cylinder. MSR usually has them. That in combo with a flywheel weight... it will really mellow out the hit.
