KLX110 Lighting system

I know that you can run a lighting system on a 110 but Ive also read about there being DC current in the rectifier, Is this true? Does anybody know? Hel:thumbsup:p

Baja Designs recently came out with a battery operated headlight unfortunatley it is very expensive, it works great tho.

I recently installed 55w lighy=ts on both my boys KLX110's. About $20.00 at auto parts store. Figure I will try to add LED taillights in the future. Headlights are bright and light up enough area in front of them to ride when it's dark.

dadof2 where did you connect the light to?

One wire to kill switch the other to bolt on handle bars. I did have to make a bracket to mount the light above the number plate, used small piece of galvanized strap bent to fit over plate and attached using screw holding plate in place.

So the lights you used are just aftermarket foglamps for a auto? I work at a bodyshop and can get one that the lens is scratched and use it if thats the case! Is there really enough voltage coming to that switch to power it okay? Have you had any problems with burnt wires or anything since runnin them for a while?

i read on another post that they had to wire in a fuse to the Hot wire. Did you do that also?

I didn't use an inline fuse.but wouldn't hurt to put one in.

That's good reading these bike come readdy for a light it's same bike and motor that is a street legal bike in thailand
