Which would you do?

Recommended Posts

Have $75 available for the next 2 weeks,..

1.) buy a new back tire because the one you have on is worn out and has snow studs in it as it was bought from back east

2.) replace the fork seals because one has a minor leak

this is my situation on my 91 RM 250

IMO, if are capable enough to rebuild you own forks do it. You’re not going to get any shop to do it for 75. if you can't do it keep saving or buy a tire. You should be able to rebuild cheaper than 75 on your own. You can get some seals, Oil and seal savers for about 75 or just replace the seals only and a have little extra to start your new savings for a tire. Either way leaking oil is more important that a back tire.

I went ahead and ordered the seals,.. not sure how long they have been leaking and guess I don't want to kill myself or the forks by running it with little to no oil..

THanks for the input guys! next time, tire,.. unless something else leaks or breaks..
