TT-R125L Fork oil weight & volume

Recommended Posts

2002. But aren't they all the same? At least 2000-2008? Right? Wife's got an '02 (moto) and a '07 (motard) and they are exact.

I think I got it though, 156cc per leg (or 130mm from top), 10W oil.

What's the diameter? Make sure I got a seal driver that fits.

I think they are all the same up to 2008...not sure though.

I had an 02 and an 03 at the same time. I still have the 03. There was a lot of difference between them in both the front and rear suspension. For this I will talk about only the front. The 03 has adjustable preload for the springs and the dampening and springs are stiffer. For the 02 it was like there was no dampening and a very soft spring. I fabbed some preload spacers that were about 1" thick. You can use conduit or pvc pipe. Then I used 30 weight fork oil. Yes, 30 weight! I can't remember now but I put in more than what the manual listed for the amount. Then I adjusted the shock preload to match the front. It made a world of difference but was still not enough dampening (pogo stick). On the 03 I used 20 weight oil and the stock amount and it still had more dampening than the 02 with 30 weight.
